Elinor M. Brent-Dyer (born Gladys Eleanor Will Dyer) (6 April 1894 - 20 September 1969) was a youngsters's creator better known for the Chalet School series. She published 101 books inside her lifespan.

She was innate within South Shields, South Tyneside, and wrote her number one novels in the town.

In the 1930s she started her have school around Hereford: The Margaret Roper School. It closed around 1948.

She died inside Redhill, Surrey.
